If you have been paying any attention to the political movement in the United States for the last 20 or so years, you can see a steady move in a particular direction. With the current economic climate being what it is, a total disaster, it is easy to see what may be coming in the near future. As American citizens, we are often too busy with our own lives to actually stop and take note of the very real threat our country is facing.
The U.S. Constitution, when it was written, was designed not only to ensure that “we the people” would always be able to select our leaders through a democratic process, but to provide …
OK boys and girls, I have been keeping my eye on this so called health care plan of Obama’s, and while our system could use a tuneup, it still beats all the other health care systems in the world, it’s quite possible that you shouldn’t use it if you can’t afford it.
What should I have to pay for you to go to the doctor, do you enjoy your taxes rising because the way I understand things it will push taxes up by 9%, now I don’t which taxes will go up, but you can bet it will be whatever pays the government the most money to offset the health care plan.
This is how socialized health …
The media is addicted to Michael Jackson. There. I said it. And I’m not talking about a weekend drunken binge addiction. They have a full on, 1000 pills a day-, drunk out of their minds-, shaking on the floor of a random crackhouse- addiction.
Online glorified tabloids and their traditional cousins are thirsty for anything remotely shocking or salacious with the words “Jackson” attached to it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if fledgling and veteran reporters alike were out turning tricks in back alleys all over California for leaked Michael Jackson information… whether it’s of pure quality or not.
Don’t for one minute think the addiction to Michael Jackson is limited to the entertainment media only.
Three weeks after Jackson …
Criminalisation of politics has become an issue of grave concern among the Indian intelligentsia. And though the top leaders of all political parties agree that those with criminal record should be debarred from contesting elections, the number of such people is only increasing. In 2004, about one in five MPs had a criminal record, including some with charges of heinous crimes such as murder, rape, dacoity and kidnapping.
Why does it happen?
The most important factor, which determines the ticket distribution, is the “winability” of the candidate. Hence more and more people with money and muscle power are getting tickets from the political parties. Another factor that has played an important role is that the criminal elements …
Are teenagers actually understanding the situation the economy is in and helping their parents? Most teenagers have to have cell phones and stylish clothes in order to fit in with their peers.
There’s a retail store in New York that is having a 2 for 1 t-shirt sale and their profits have rose due to teenagers. Well, denim and t-shirts are still very popular, so if teens can get stylish clothes at a reasonable price then in their own way it really is helping out the economy and their parents.
Teenagers understand the situation the economy is in more than they did before. Now they all have computers and cell phones that keeps them informed. But what …
Human Life Is Not A Commodity. Why Is Human Health Care In The USA?
I may be a nosy Canadian, but I’m not the only one with compassion for my neighbour and an opinion on the outrageous undertakings in the American version of a health care system. So, on the heels of Michael Moore’s ‘Sicko’ and Bill Moyers’ revealing interview on PBS with Wendell Potter, ex-Head of Corporate Communications for CIGNA, I feel compelled to share my views and offer some solutions.
Apparently in the USA there are publicly trading corporations made up of morally-challenged money mongers and pompous profiteers who determine health insurance policies for the nation. More so, the government is said to be powerless …
There a lot of things that politicians can learn from professional bloggers. Here are a few things to explore.
Politicians around the world are constantly striving to find ways and means to get an edge over their competitors in order to get elected to office and if they are already in office, they are looking for ways and means to get re-elected. Every trick that is available from dirty campaigning to mudslinging has been used in the past in the strive to get into office or hold on to the seat in office. Many of the more powerful politicians have entire staffs of people that comprise analysts and such that comb public opinions and posture to …

The power interests of Germany in the European North of Russia are concentrated around Stockman field and the long-term storage facilities of the nuclear data. In the prospect the nuclear storage will be changed into the burial. Germany is a suitable partner in the Arctic because it doesn’t pretend for its sector there. It is expected to build the pipelines “The Barents sea – Vyborg” and the “Nord Stream” of “Gazprom” company.
New principles and documents relative to interrelations between European Union and Russia are being formed nowadays, including power engineering field. Russia accounts its rejection of ratification of EU power charter for the losses in the oil …
The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, H.R. 2454, better known as cap and trade, passed the House on June 26th. The vote was 219, to 212.
This bill will not become law until it has been voted on by the Senate.
According to the bill, the purpose is to create clean energy jobs, achieve energy independence, reduce global warming pollution, and transition to a clean energy economy.
Interestingly enough, now days, because of our horrible financial troubles, all bills seem to emphasize that jobs will be created. If the economy were good, then the global warming argument would come first, and the job creation may not be mentioned at all.
The purported purpose of the cap …
